Pat Horan has been practicing law in Minnesota since 1981.   Prior to opening his own practice in 2004, Pat has worked as both in-house corporate counsel for a publicly traded company and in  private practice as a partner, director, and treasurer of a top-notch litigation firm.  His current practice is split about 50/50 between general business law and litigation matters. He practices in state and federal courts and before administrative agencies.

Pat’s litigation practice covers a wide variety of subjects including breach of contract, intellectual property infringement, collections, product liability, insurance coverage, personal injury, employment law, shareholder disputes, wrongful death, criminal and traffic matters.  He has tried numerous cases in state and federal courts in Minnesota and has practiced pro hoc vice in several foreign jurisdictions. His current litigation practice  is divided about equally between representation of plaintiffs and defendants. Pat also serves as an arbitrator and mediator.

In addition Pat has an active business law practice in which he serves and advises Minnesota businesses on matters ranging from employment law issues; entity formation; mergers; acquisitions and divestitures;  covenants not to compete; all types of contractual matters, including licensing, development and vendor agreements; and commercial real estate development and leasing.

Pat is married and has two children.  He has been active in Habitat for Humanity, as a deacon at his church, and as a youth athletics coach.  In his leisure time he enjoys motorcycling, working out, home improvement and reading (history, politics and novels).
